Project Overview

Penske NZ, a leading provider of transportation solutions, engaged A-FLO Equipment to upgrade and modernise its Auckland workshop fluid handling infrastructure.

The project focused on improving the efficiency, safety and reliability of the workshop's oil dispensing operations through the refurbishment of existing oil storage infrastructure, installation of high-volume pumping equipment, new pipework and a purpose-built hose reel gantry.

Working closely with the Penske NZ team, A-FLO Equipment assessed the existing workshop layout, oil tanks and pump bay before developing and implementing a customised upgrade solution designed around the facility's operational requirements.

The Challenge

Penske NZ required an upgraded oil dispensing system that would:

Improve oil dispensing speed and efficiency
IRefurbish and optimise existing multi-compartment oil tanks
IImprove workshop fluid flow and accessibility
IUpgrade safety features within the oil storage area

The Solution

A-FLO Equipment delivered a comprehensive workshop fluid management upgrade, combining refurbishment, new equipment and engineered pipework to create a more efficient and reliable oil dispensing system.

Oil Storage & Pumping Infrastructure

The A-FLO Projects Team conducted a detailed assessment of the existing oil storage tanks and pump bay before carrying out a comprehensive maintenance and refurbishment program.

Works included:

Cleaning and refurbishment of multi-compartment oil tanks
Repairs to existing tank infrastructure
Safety feature upgrades
Installation of RAASM high-volume oil pumps
Optimisation of the pump bay for improved workflow

The upgraded pumping system provides faster and more reliable oil transfer, improving access to lubricants and reducing servicing time.

Oil Reticulation & Dispensing

A-FLO's engineering and installation teams designed and installed new oil reticulation pipework to provide a safe and efficient flow path throughout the workshop.

The system included:

New oil reticulation pipework
Purpose-built hose reel gantry
Controlled oil dispensing points
High-volume RAASM pumping equipment

The new hose reel gantry provides technicians with convenient access to oil dispensing equipment while helping maintain an organised and efficient workshop environment.

Project Delivery & Commissioning

A-FLO Equipment managed the project from assessment and system design through to installation, testing and commissioning.
