A-FLO Equipment recently delivered and installed a Fueltainer FT30 Self-Bunded Diesel Tank at the Holcim Australia Warrnambool Quarry, providing a safe, compliant, and efficient refuelling solution tailored to the demands of a busy quarry operation.
Designed to withstand harsh Australian conditions, the FT30 supports reliable onsite fuel storage while helping streamline day-to-day fuel management and equipment uptime.
The Challenge
Quarry operations require dependable access to fuel while maintaining strict safety and environmental standards. Holcim needed a solution that would:

- Improve visibility of fuel levels and consumption
- Operate reliably in a remote environment
- Support workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Minimise downtime through ongoing maintenance and support

To meet these requirements, A-FLO Equipment supplied and installed a complete fuel management package featuring:

A robust and compliant diesel storage solution designed for demanding industrial environments.
Advanced Fuel Monitoring
The system was integrated with:
- FLUIDLINK MICRO Surface Tank Mount FMS
- FLUIDLINK ATG Sensor 3m ProbeThis technology provides real-time visibility of fuel levels and usage, helping site personnel monitor fuel consumption and improve operational control.
Off-Grid Power Capability
To ensure reliable performance in a remote quarry environment, the system is powered by a dedicated solar panel setup, delivering continuous operation without reliance on mains power.
Safety & Environmental Protection
The installation was equipped with essential safety accessories, including:
- Personal eye wash station
- Fire extinguisher with heavy-duty mounting bracket
- Oil and fuel spill response kit
These additions support safe fuel handling practices while helping protect personnel and the surrounding environment.
Ongoing Support
As part of the project, Holcim's fuel system is supported by A-FLO Equipment's Tank Maintenance Service Package, which includes:
- One scheduled service annually
- One major service every 12 months
- Up to two hose and nozzle inspections and calibrations per year
This proactive maintenance program helps maximise equipment reliability, maintain compliance, and extend asset life.
