What oil transfer accessories does A-FLO supply?

A-FLO supplies 1 litre and 2 litre measuring bottles with flexible outlets, a 3.2 litre polyethylene funnel, aluminium and plastic oil sampling pumps, drum trolleys and heavy duty drum dollies in several diameters, an IBC adaptor with swivelling connection and a 20 litre oil pump adaptor.

Why use a dedicated oil sampling pump?

Oil condition monitoring is only as good as the sample. A dedicated sampling pump draws a representative sample without introducing contamination from a previous fluid, which an improvised tube or reused container cannot guarantee.

What is a measuring bottle with a flexible outlet for?

It allows a measured quantity of oil to be dispensed into a fill point that is recessed or awkward to reach, without a funnel and without guessing the volume. A-FLO stocks 1 litre and 2 litre versions.

How do I choose a drum dolly?

Dollies are sized by drum diameter rather than capacity. A-FLO supplies 60L and 60kg dollies in 335 to 360mm, 360 to 375mm and 400 to 417mm diameter bands, plus a heavy duty dolly rated for 205L and 180kg drums.

Can I mount a pump directly on a 20 litre pail?

Yes, with the correct adaptor. A-FLO supplies the ULTRAFLO 20L oil pump adaptor, AF-AP-1336ADAP, for mounting a pump onto a 20 litre pail.

Overview

The Last Metre Decides the Result

Oil can be pumped, filtered and metered perfectly and still arrive contaminated, because the last step was a dirty funnel or a measuring jug that previously held something else. The accessories in this category cover that last metre — decanting, measuring, sampling and moving the drum to where the work is.

Oil sampling deserves particular mention. Condition monitoring only works if the sample represents the oil in the system rather than whatever was in the sampling tube last time, which is why dedicated sampling pumps exist as a separate item rather than an improvised one.
