What engine-driven transfer pumps does A-FLO supply?

A-FLO supplies ULTRAFLO petrol engine pumps at 2.4HP in 1in and 1.5in, a 6.5HP petrol engine pump in 2in cast iron, 4HP diesel driven engine pumps in 2in cast iron and aluminium, and a 1in Honda GX25 powered diesel transfer pump.

Why do these pumps have Viton seals?

Viton resists diesel and petroleum products where standard elastomers degrade, so a Viton-sealed pump handles diesel as well as water. That suits sites using the same pump for both duties.

Should I choose a petrol or diesel engine?

Where possible, match the engine fuel to what is already on site so you are not carrying two fuels. Beyond that, the choice is largely about what the operator is familiar with and the duty cycle involved.

Cast iron or aluminium body?

Cast iron is more durable and better suited to rough handling and continuous duty. Aluminium is lighter, which matters when the pump is carried between locations regularly. A-FLO supplies the 4HP diesel engine pump in both.

When is an engine-driven pump the right choice?

Where no mains power or vehicle electrical supply is available, and where flow rates beyond what a 12V or 24V pump can deliver are needed. Common on remote pads, paddocks and sites before power is connected.

Engine-Driven Transfer Pumps — Petrol and Diesel, 2.4HP to 6.5HP

Where there is no power supply at all, an engine-driven pump carries its own. A-FLO supplies ULTRAFLO petrol and diesel engine-driven transfer pumps from 2.4HP to 6.5HP with Viton seals, in 1in, 1.5in and 2in, plus a Honda GX25 powered unit.

Overview

No Power, No Problem

Plenty of transfer work happens where there is neither mains power nor a vehicle to draw from — a remote pad, a paddock, a site before the power is connected. An engine-driven pump solves that by bringing its own power source, and delivers flow rates an electric pump on a vehicle battery cannot approach.

The range is specified with Viton seals throughout, which suits it to diesel as well as water — useful on sites where the same pump gets used for both. Cast iron and aluminium body options cover the trade-off between durability and weight.

Choosing an engine-driven pump

Petrol or diesel engine — match the fuel already on site to avoid carrying two
Engine size — 2.4HP for lighter duty, 6.5HP where flow and head demand it
Port size — 1in, 1.5in or 2in, driving flow capacity
Body material — cast iron for durability, aluminium where weight matters
