What diesel flow meters does A-FLO supply?

A-FLO supplies FLUIDLINK diesel and oil flow meters in 1in, 1.5in and 2in BSP, PIUSI K24 inline digital meters, K24 pulse meters, the K600/3 pulse meter with optional remote display, and flow rate indicators with remote totalisers.

What is the difference between a digital meter and a pulse meter?

A digital meter displays and totalises at the meter itself, which suits standalone dispensing points. A pulse meter sends an electrical pulse to a fuel management system, which records the volume against a vehicle, driver or cost centre.

Do you supply meters for hazardous areas?

Yes. A-FLO stocks K24 meters rated ATEX and IECEx, including a 1in ULP digital meter and a 1in pulse meter, for installations where hazardous area certification is required.

What is a solenoid valve used for on a fuel line?

A solenoid valve gates the flow electrically, so a fuel management system can authorise or block dispensing rather than only measuring it. A-FLO supplies pilot type valves in 1in and 1.5in BSP at 12VDC and 240VAC.

What port size do I need?

Port size follows flow rate. A 1in meter suits standard dispensing at a bowser or hose reel, while 1.5in and 2in suit bulk transfer between tanks where a 1in restriction would slow the transfer.

Overview

Measured Beats Estimated

Fuel that leaves a tank unmeasured is fuel that cannot be attributed, costed or reconciled. A flow meter at the dispensing point turns consumption from a monthly invoice into a per-transaction record — which is the difference between knowing you used more diesel than last month and knowing which asset used it.

The choice is between a meter that displays and totalises locally, and a pulse meter that feeds a fuel management system for recording against a vehicle or driver. A-FLO supplies both, plus the solenoid valves that let a system control dispensing rather than just measure it.

Specifying a meter

Port size — 1in for standard dispensing, 1.5in and 2in for bulk transfer and higher flow
Digital or pulse — digital reads at the meter, pulse feeds a management system
Hazardous area — ATEX and IECEx rated units where the installation requires it
Solenoid control — 12V or 240V pilot valves where dispensing must be gated, not just measured
